The Nava Yuva Manifesto for Bengaluru
Manifesto (1)_edited.jpg

Over 65% of India’s population falls under the age of 65 years. Yet, Less than 10% of Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Lok Sabha are between 25-40 years old. This pattern of underrepresentation of the youth in governing bodies is reflected in our state and local levels as well. This creates an unfavourable climate for the large population of youngsters in Bengaluru. Issues such as education and unemployment, lack of infrastructure and accessibility to sport and fitness, adverse environments for the growth of art and culture, and neglect of mental health issues are often sidelined. As a youth-led political movement, the Bengaluru Nava Yuva has put together its game plan that highlights our vision for Bengaluru and aims to shed light on these issues. Together, we shall conceptualize and create a youth-friendly Bengaluru.

As young people, our focus is on creating youth-friendly public policy in local governance. We hope to delve into the depths of issues faced by the youth by dividing the youth manifesto into topics such as

  • Education & Unemployment
  • Sports and Fitness
