As young people, our focus is on creating youth-friendly public policy in local governance. We hope to delve into the depths of issues faced by the youth by dividing the youth manifesto into topics such as education and unemployment, sports and fitness.

Voter Registration Drive
The voter turnout for the BBMP elections has always been meagre, with just 44% in 2015’s elections. Unfortunately, the importance of choosing our corporators and municipal governing representatives have often been sidelined - despite their direct impact on us and our surroundings. Through this campaign, we hope to increase, diversify and strengthen the voter base for Bengaluru. We are taking our steps towards having a 100% voter-registered youth in Bengaluru.
The Nava Yuva task force is a focused group of volunteers that help propel our mission forward through ground-level efforts. Our task force has worked closely with local authorities and ward level executives and engineers to shed light on and resolve civic issues and improve the quality of Bengaluru’s roads and amenities.

Youth in Governance Survey
The Bengaluru Nava Yuva kicked off the ‘Youth in Governance Survey’ outside Cubbon Park, Bengaluru, during the later months of 2020. Passionate youngsters were seen speaking to willing pedestrians and strollers, and understanding their views on Bengaluru’s local administration. They soon grew in size, as they conducted this exercise of interacting with citizens every weekend, outside parks and in iconic public places in areas such as Jayanagar, Indiranagar, and Basavanagudi.

One of our vaccination drive initiatives catered to citizens who were due to receive their second dose of COVAXIN, but were unable to find any source due to its shortage.

Our team, through elaborate research and observation, identified and examined the problems with BBMP’s present waste management system. Upon understanding this, we devised methods to help citizens understand the importance of waste segregation
